Published as part of Barron's Educational Series, this is a collection of simple designs, mostly traditional with a few by myself. The commissioning editor had a very clear idea of how she wanted the artwork to look and it's fair to say a great deal of discussion took place.
I also shot all the photography within the book, using paper patterns matching those to be supplied with the pack.
Is it possible to give too much help to the reader? At what point do extra text instructions and brightly coloured graphics start to confuse? I hope the book will sell by the million and prove me wrong. Ultimately, I do what I'm paid to do and those used to my usual style may be somewhat surprised.
